    Megatron build

Yeah, I understand it's not a fair comparison at all. I sort of wish we either hadn't bought an S or that the Spark was just a little bit better in the aforementioned ways. I need to switch to a high-performance summer tire and put high-performance winter tires on the OEM wheels to better...

Let me rephrase as garbage is a stronger word than I should have used. By comparison to our Model S, Mickey feels a little unstable at high-speeds, especially on windy days (though this isn't likely to change with suspension), and the body roll is a little off-putting.

So, this car is too apparently too useful to sell. It's a shame it's not just a little better. It really shines on city streets but is garbage on the freeway. Anyone figure out decent suspension option that's not custom (I know about Bryce's build)? It has nearly as much stock ground clearance...

EVSEs other than portable Chevy one don't charge my Spark!

Oh, awesome of awesomeness, Mickey (my 2015 Chevy Spark 2LT) seemed to be unable to charge at public chargers ever since I tried to DC Fast Charge him, or at least that's when it seemed to start. I typically charge at one of the four Bosch EVSEs my employer supplies free-of-charge to employees...

I've been getting that same reaction since I posted my ad and that's what I thought back in July when I made my reservation and why I bought Mickey in the first place. I figured that with Tesla's track history we may see ours fulfilled in 2-3 years and didn't want to be contributing to the...

    Thanks. I appreciate it.

I've decided to sell Megatron and fulfill my Model 3 reservation. I'd love to keep him for a project/autocross car, but 3 car payments don't fit with the rest of my goals. I'd be happy simply paying off my loan, so I'm asking $11K. I've listed Mickey locally here, but if you're interested and...

    Remove Bowtie Logo

    Do a forum search for details, but there are bolts/screws you'll need remove prior to the dental floss for the bow-tie. It's like they don't want us taking them off... [ ;

I'm not a big fan of gold, so the bow tie had to change. I still need to put a Decepticon emblem inside the bow tie to match the tailgate. Those Rio wheels look giant on a Spark! Reminds me of Mickey's predecessor, Lady: It's funny that I thought Lady was small. I wish the Spark had similar...

I'm really liking the way this looks! It's very Decepticon-ish.

Here's some options for what I plan on doing next, but I haven't quite figured out which option I like best. I think the full treatment with blacked-out fog panels and matching the hexing of the grill inserts looks more complete. The one on the left is for comparison to what it is now. Thoughts?

    New Spark Owner!

Looking good. My next project is blacking out my grill covers. Then I'm thinking matte black graphics (perhaps wide stripes) to hide the rock chips on the hood that Chevy's crap paint job didn't prevent. I've never had paint on a car chip so easily.

Thanks. I finally took the final tired for balancing, TPMS syncing and sorted out the center cap issue. I have a whole car again! Next project...

    Black Wheels

I spent the time to sand down my new (used) wheel's old paint, clean and degrease, then multi-coat with rattle-can primer and paint. I saved money, sure, but for the time I put in I wish I had them powder coated. I thought I did a really good job, but I've never had paint fleck off a surface...

The weather cleared up last weekend and I was able to wash and photograph Megatron in all his current glory. I still need to sort out the center cap situation on one of the rear wheels (stripped threads on the bracket), have it balanced (Costco couldn't remove the center cap) and get my TPMS...

Not a bad idea at all. Thanks for the advice!

Yeah, I definitely need to paint the grind area. I noticed some rust on them late yesterday, which didn't take long with the snow and road salt. Any idea what paint would match what Chevy put on there? Perhaps it was just because that silver was next to the more bright gray steel color of the...

    I test drove a Tesla??

My wife drives a Model S 85, so I've had a lot of experience driving both Spark and S. I also wonder if you test drove the 60kwh battery model. The difference in acceleration and overall stability (not just high speeds) is very noticeable. I greatly prefer a subcompact, but the quality...

I decided to give Bryce's idea a shot as grinding the casting flash off my calipers comes with less risk than boring out the wheels' hub seats by hand. Mine didn't look exactly gnarly, but there was definitely additional material from the casting which seamed (pun intended) unnecessary...

Do you have any pictures of your caliper before and after for guidance?
