Extreme Condensation Issues - Interior of Windshield

@NORTON: Yes, the Defrost button seems to turn on the TEMP button by default when coming from off, but it's my understanding from the user manual that the A/C and Heater is controlled with the TEMP button (page 191 or section 8-1). However, what's interesting is that *some* heat still comes out...

Extreme Condensation Issues - Interior of Windshield

I'll list where I'm at right now after talking with the dealer. Nothing is physically wrong with the car. Some answers and some remaining wonderings. One should avoid using the AC system for defrosting the windshield/cabin because, while it "dehumidifies" really well, current AC evaporator...

Extreme Condensation Issues - Interior of Windshield

After doing some more tests, it's appearing that the "TEMP" button (which turns on the AC and more?? heater power) is causing the issue. When TEMP is on, moisture from the cabin is condensing and gathering at the AC evaporator, but for some reason it isn't draining out from there on my Spark...

Extreme Condensation Issues - Interior of Windshield

Good points Norton. * Floor mats: Yes, the drivers side one is dry. I will check the other ones for dampness. However, if they were, I would expect an even distribution of moisture around the car, whereas this is only on the windshield basically. * I am using one to test for temp/humidity...

Extreme Condensation Issues - Interior of Windshield

So, it's happening again tonight. So much for that idea! Clear skies, I will leave the flap open and make sure it helps...

Extreme Condensation Issues - Interior of Windshield

TLDR: Make sure "fresh air" mode is on and remove the cabin air filter from behind the glovebox and let the whole air circulation system sit exposed to outside air for a while. My issue seems to have gone away for a reason I can't quite understand yet... I did some more research, and decided...

Extreme Condensation Issues - Interior of Windshield

I am seeing similar behavior on my Spark EV. The only thing I've done is apply a cloth treatment for water repellency to the seats. I took some time-lapse videos (https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLdwf7MLSe44yFlUxwe-yo81JI9XkbFwwU) and I think I can trace it down to when there is clear...

    Climate Control Fan Speed Buggy

According to Chevy dealership, this is "normal operation" in their handbook. Clicking it twice overrides the 1st click setting, which is to turn speed/temp/air source according to moisture sensor near windshield. So I guess I will move it around a bit before setting it to the 1st setting.

    Climate Control Fan Speed Buggy

It'd be great except for my use case, where I like driving in near silence, and my small breaths in the winter is enough to build up windshield fog eventually. So I turn it on, then turn it off, etc. For the record, I always keep it in defrost mode. (The light is on). I am not actively pressing...

    Climate Control Fan Speed Buggy

Auto Defog is OFF, even though it likes to auto recirculate and be warm in the morning. (Auto defog = "ON" behavior) After playing with it some more, it looks like this behavior only happens when the Defrost button is pressed (Defrost only). All of the other modes are fine and do the proper...

    Climate Control Fan Speed Buggy

When I turn on the fan speed from off to 1 notch, the fan speed ramps up to about half speed (much more than expected) but displays 1 bar on the dash. If I rotate up one more the fan speed reduces back to normal (speed 2). Anyone else seeing this? If so, any chance of fixing it? Not a huge...
