Looking on plugshare a few people seem to have had problems with that station in the last week with both CHAdeMO and SAE Combo. Seems like whatever it is just may be the station itself, not your car.

Where was the charger with the combo plug that you tried located? As far as I know the only functional quick charge station is in san diego at fashion valley. The two in Irvine are not currently working on the SAE side. The mfg of the quick charge station that I used was labeled as Evpump.

Depending on the car sometimes they include the wiring in the harness for extra uninstalled options. Once we get our Spark I'll poke around a bit and see if the pigtail is there.. Who knows..
