What is being offered at end of lease?

I don't think they will drop the price.... They want you to move to a bigger and more expensive chevy and hope to make up their loss that way..... I am looking at a used spark ev on a local independent lot that is close to my home. And considering other options.....

What is being offered at end of lease?

My lease is up in early august. I called to get payoff from gm financial and see if I could negotiate something better than the residual. They won't budge and have been bombarding us with offers to move into a new GM vehicle..... We bought a new chevy diesel cruze last year... So...

advice for slow leak on leased Spark?

I just had a slow leak fixed in my spark ev. It turned out to be a nail in the tire. It was removed and patched. No charge from the local tire store. many around here provide this service to compete with Les Schwab who provides this service at no charge as well. I strongly advise you...

    End of Lease

You can currently purchase one new at a local dealership here for a little over 19k. Assuming you qualify for full $7500 tax credit that makes it less than $12k for a new spark ev.... My residual on my lease is around $15k - I can't imagine buying it at the end of the lease unless they...

I jumped in the car with my wife this morning and saw 93 miles of range on the old gom.... Yep. One more reason to like spring. :-) Jeff

Front tire wear, is this normal?

The rear wheels have larger rims as well? This would 1give the wheel more load capacity. I have read here it is not safe to rotate tires front to back due to clearance isssues. There is not sufficient clearance.for larger wheel in front. Jeff

    Goodyear windshield wipers from costco.

Just off 1 the top of my head I would guess you need 1to pop the blade off and flip it around.... mine fit fine and work very well. Jeff

Front tire wear, is this normal?

The stated reason for larger tires in the rear is to support additional weight of the battery pack. Note that 50/50 weight distribution front to rear is without passengers. Load four adults in the car and some luggage in the back and you would exceed tire capacity rating if they didn't use...

Brake fluid replacement? At 30K mi?! Special procedure?

Well - my experience with my chevy truck is that you can bleed it yourself and then take it for a spin to slam on the brakes and actuate the abs to flush the fluid in that circuit - then bleed again... At the dealership, they use a tech 2 diagnostic tool to control the abs and bleed out the...

Brake fluid replacement? At 30K mi?! Special procedure?

Brake fluid absorbs moisture and so it is a good idea to swap it out every two years. Particularly so in areas of high humidity. I think most chevrolet vehicles with abs need a tech 2 to bleed entire system including the abs Jeff

    Use of Extension Cords

I have also run a 12 gauge electrical cord - about 20 feet long before I got my car in the garage with the L2 going. I felt very safe in doing this - it was plugged into a brand new 20 amp plug that I had installed with 3 feet of wire from the plug to the breaker box - using 12 gauge wire...

    Oregon: EV charging spots protected

In general - you can call information and ask for "police non-emergency phone number please". In Oregon - I believe there is a law where you can file a report and have someone ticketed (as a private citizen). I assume it will take some time before signs go up informing folks of the...

    Use of Extension Cords

Kevin - I did say it wasn't intuitive. Didn't I? Think of it this way - if you add a long and cheap extension cord it not only reduces power to the charger - because of power dropped in the wire - it also makes the charger inefficient. When it is inefficient - then it produces...

DC fast charging: J1772 CCS vs CHAdeMO vs Supercharger, etc.

I visit my daughter in corvallis. She goes to osu. There is a charger at the corvallis exit on interstate 5. But it is electric highway station with chademo. Sure would be nice if they had plan to upgrade all of those stations to support sae dcfc. They have three sae dcfc in Salem now...

    Use of Extension Cords

Most of the discussions here related to running extension cords consider the load to be 'purely resistive". The load being the charger in the car... So this leads most to talk about voltage drop and heat in wires due to their resistance, etc. ohms law, kirchoffs voltage law, etc. But...
