What is being offered at end of lease?

GM Finance wouldn't negotiate with me and said if I paid $14,750 (plus a $900 fee for title release in a state with no sales taxes) and for a car worth $10,000 TOPS the car could stay with me. I had the Chevy dealer try to negotiate with them to get the car released to them - nope. So after I...

What is being offered at end of lease?

My lease is up in September - got my letter, called GM Finance and was told "we do not negotiate." Huh, well, so much for my beloved Sparky, I am not paying $14,000 for a car worth $10,000 at best. What is the turn-in process as far as the dealer is concerned? I turn the car back in to the...

What is being offered at end of lease?

Saw a TV ad last week that mentioned a Bolt lease for $199 - check again! I looked at my local dealer just now and it says: "$199/month for 36 months. $3660 due at signing " I don't have a Fiat dealer within the car's range, so it was never an option for me.

What is being offered at end of lease?

Any updates for end of lease deals? Our lease doesn't expire until middle of next year, but I am curious to see what is being offered and by which lenders. Our lease is through GM.

    OnStar "lithium battery issue"

Diagnostic code: P3023, which means "out of range value in charging current" Only happened once, dealer has no idea what it means as far as what the problem could be/could have been. The advice is to just keep driving it and see if it happens again.

    OnStar "lithium battery issue"

Hmm, my Onstar report had a warning: "Lithium-Ion Battery - There is an issue requiring action. Push your blue OnStar button and request an On-Demand Diagnostics Check." The Onstar operator said that "Vehicle integration control" unit is reporting an issue with the on board charging system...

    Blank display on start up

When it happens, it affects both screens - the "infotainment" screen and the instrument cluster screen. Moving the dimmer wheel fixes the problem, which is why I thought there was a relationship. The first time it happened, it was on start-up first thing in the morning and I assumed it was my...

    Blank display on start up

Searched for this issue (maybe I am not using the right search terms) and didn't find anything. I have had my 2015 Spark for just over a year (5,250 miles, 5.2mi/kwh long-term average). About 3 times in the last several months, when I start the car the dash display and the instrument cluster...

    Sparky's sign of Spring

I use the "3 guesses" meter and yesterday the max range was 105, the middle guess was 96 and the low was 87. But, yes, all the cars are covered in pollen, Sparky needs a bath. I also had to dig out the custom windshield cover, because we are having a "summer is here for a short visit" week and...

    Tesla Model 3

I probably will go for the Bolt over the Tesla in mid-2018 when my lease on the Spark EV runs out, primarily because the Bolt will have been out a year already and we will have some real world info about it by then. I wouldn't buy from the first production run of a Chevy car, though. Also? I...

    Tesla Model 3

What is the story about repairs? I am 300-500 miles (depending on going north or south) from the closest authorized service. I understand that Tesla flew in technicians to service some cars - although what might work at the $100,000 level is probably not going to work at the $35,000 level. The...

    Oregon: EV charging spots protected

The single CCS station at my local Fred's (went in about 3 months ago) has been "ICED" several times, although I think some of that was because they took what used to be a regular parking spot and put a charger there, plus the sign that says "Electric Vehicle Charging ONLY" is pretty small and...

    Issues with your Spark EV?

My 2015 had a warranty issue with the Sirius XM radio which turned about to be a bad cable - took 3 tries to get the right one in and working. On the other hand, every time they tried they detailed the car and gave it a full charge, so it wasn't as annoying as it could have been....

Any way to leave the door locks alone?

Pages 5-38 and 5-39 of the owner's manual discuss door lock features. Variety of features to select (I went through this to get rid of the "chirp" on lock/unlock) but it doesn't look like the automatic autolock is one of the features that can be set to OFF. You can set the automatic unlock when...

    2016 Chevy Spark EV?

According to http://insideevs.com/monthly-plug-in-sales-scorecard/ Chevrolet sold 2,629 Sparks in 2015. According to http://us7.campaign-archive1.com/?u=994a4a1538d32dfd7a36903ab&id=09dd3af3c5&e=78867c2845 There were 5,163 PEV cars sold in California in 2015. Since the Spark is only sold in...

    Used EVs Plunging in Value

Oregon has OReGo, which is a pilot program that uses an OBDii plug in. California's program sounds similarly designed and fairly reasonable, right up to this statement in "Technical and Organization" So, what, you hand devices out at border control stations? Hmmm, don't see that working. That...

    Used EVs Plunging in Value

Currently planning on trading in my Spark at lease end (which isn't until end of 2018 anyway). I'd really like that 200 mile Bolt range, it would put Portland, my most common "out of area" travel from home, within one DCFC. San Francisco would most likely be 2 DCFC and I'd be much less likely...

    2016 Chevy Spark EV?

And I live in a semi-isolated part of Oregon (well, as isolated as you can get with I5 going smack through the middle), about 200,000 total population in the entire area. Sparks sell well here. Or at least lease well. I notice they have $139 and $149 a month lease signs on them on the lot. The...

    2016 Chevy Spark EV?

I bought the last one my local dealer had at the end of August - then they had none at all until this month, when they got 16 more in. Now they have 6 left, I think (including the lime green, salsa red which I would have taken over the silver one I have in a heartbeat!)

    Bolt!

My garage-based 240V 30 amp EVSE (which, by the manual, requires a 40amp breaker) shares a socket with the welder - because the car can't be in the garage when we need to use the welder anyway. Edit: typo
