    are Chevy service persons clueless?

You tell them the symptoms, they try all possible solutions until it is fixed. Sometimes it may take a few tries, especially with a car they do not see very often and an issue that is not very common. Not to scare you, but this is basically how doctors often do their jobs too. ;) I wouldn't...

2014 Spark EV for sale in Dallas, TX

Hello! My new Bolt will be here in about a week, much sooner than expected. The car can be picked up anytime in the last week of June. As a result, I am selling my 2014 Spark EV. I have been driving it in the Dallas area for about 2 years. I have gotten the vehicle taken care of at Classic...

    Recall on 2014-2016 EV

I saw an article on this today. Lots of Chevys are affected. I have not taken it by the dealer yet, but from what I understand, the recall is because onder certain conditions the air bags may not deploy in a wreck.

    Importing new to Michigan?

Getting a lease from an out of state dealer will probably be very difficult. If you do not qualify for the federal rebate, then I would suggest doing what I did. I had a low mileage Spark EV shipped to me from California to my local Carmax. The car had less than 10,000 miles on it and the price...

    Public Charging Problems

Too bad that the Spark didn't work out for you, but you have to do what works best for you! :) I hope you like the Fusion Energy, it definitely has a classy style to it. Looks like it is probably roomier than the Spark. If you are charging at work, you can probably get the battery completely...

    2016 Chevrolet Spark - Official

I agree with you that it should be taken with a grain of salt... seems unlikely unfortunately. However, I think it would be smart for Chevy to do this and expand the reach. Perhaps only sell it in small numbers in urban markets. Maybe with a minor battery boost to 100 miles. The Spark EV is...

    EV Networks Partner

From Inside EVs: http://insideevs.com/major-charging-networks-us-come-together-roev-interoperability-now-reality/ Very convenient to have access to all networks! As we get longer range EV options and are able to do more travel, having access to other charging networks will be a perk. I hope...

    CHAdeMO to CCS Adapter Challenge

That's a step it looks like! But it doesn't work on the Superchargers. :( Even if there were an adapter for the superchargers to CCS, having the CHAdeMO would be far more useful for regional travel. Superchargers could be fantastic for long distance travel if Tesla ever decided to market...

    Rear turn signal lenses?

Don't give up the fight for the lights! As the great song 'Still Alive' teaches: We do what we must because we can. For the good of all of us. Except the ones who are dead. :P

Was this offer for a 2015 Spark EV 2LT lease too high? (LA)

Perhaps the dealer referred to the $7500 rebate when going over lease terms as a reason for the lower price of the lease compared to financing? I believe since the dealership would have received the tax credit, they will factor that into the price of the car and therefore the lease payments.

    CHAdeMO to CCS Adapter Challenge

I would pay at least $500 for such a product. There dozens of EVGO CHAdeMO stations between Dallas/Fort Worth/Denton and no CSS chargers to speak of. I believe there is only one CCS in all of Texas so far! (Austin, naturally). Of course, since there was no infrastructure and I was limited to...

    2016 Chevy Spark EV?

I haven't heard much either. From what I read earlier in the year, the '2016' spark will just be a 2015 spark with no noticeable changes. I assume by "off the radar" the article means that Chevy is not really talking about it or pushing sales because there is nothing to discuss. Not that they...

New Spark EV Owner in DFW

Thanks for the tip! I will give that a shot this weekend and try to remove them. I don't know about trying to sell 'em on eBay though... I wish! Dallas has HOV lanes on the major highways and tollroads, but there is no option that I'm aware of for EV's with single drivers. That would be...

New Spark EV Owner in DFW

We are already convinced that EV is the way to go! We are setting schedules over who gets to drive the Spark and who is stuck with the Jeep Liberty. And yes, the lengths people will go to indicates to me that Chevy has a quality vehicle on it's hands that should have had a proper 50 state...

New Spark EV Owner in DFW

Thanks! Yes, we think it will be the perfect car for us! A year or two from now - If we have a good experience with the Spark, then she would like to get rid of her SUV for a Volt as our longer range vehicle. Yeah, CarMax made it very easy... I just had to be patient! :)

New Spark EV Owner in DFW

Haha! Yeah, that's definitely true! The Chevy dealer will service it, they just wanted to sell me a Volt not find me a Spark EV heh. And thanks for the congrats, we are very happy with the purchase. Looking forward to less routine maintenance for sure. Hah! That must be what it is!

New Spark EV Owner in DFW

Hey everyone! I am a brand new owner of a Spark EV in Addison, TX - a Northern suburb of Dallas. :) I had been looking for several months now into either the Spark EV, Chevy Volt or Nissan Leaf. The spark made perfect sense to me - I have about a 6 mile commute to work, my fiance has an 8...
