    Sad day..

The PFAF fuse was removed. The sound I was referring to is when car is plugged in and you start to hear the TMS working and the sound of liquid flowing. You don't hear that on the 500e.

    Sad day..

Interesting, I didn't know the sound of liquid flowing was piped in! I was only aware of the pedestrian alert noise maker, didn't know there's one for the liquid engaging as well. Thanks for that tidbit!

    Sad day..

That's the only thing I was worried about. I've got all 3 recalls taking care of before the trade in so hopefully it's smooth sailing here on out. I do have an ICE (an Audi RS5) if issue arises. Yup, it has the same liquid TMS like the spark. Whereas the spark makes a more noticeable sound...

    Sad day..

The only reason I went with an EV was for the financial aspect. I feel that DCFC is useless in my case since the amount of driving and charging, the price of shelling out for a DCFC, its limited infrastructure and its associated charging cost...I would be better off getting a prius (but that's...

    Sad day..

Traded the spark EV straight up for a 500e. The idea had been brewing in my head since the start of the year and with my commute being 10mi longer (translate: I'm driving and charging more frequently), the 3.3kw onboard charger became a big distraction. I didn't think it would be a big deal...

    Active grille shutter

Does anyone know as to what speed the aero shutter is activated? Thanks.

question about starting the spark with key??

Even when my keys were in my work bag under a tablet on the passenger seat and I go to power it on, it'll say key not found/within distance, etc. So the proximity of the key to ignition button must be very close and unobstructed.

    2106 Spark EV Bike Carrier

FWIW, I was able to fit a 24in beach cruiser in the trunk with the rear seats folded, hatch door closed, wheels intact. Just turn the front wheel perpendicular so it would slot down on the rear foot well.

    Improve aerodynamics

I'm sure as we all know, the Spark's cD is pretty bad and not much was done to improve that for the EV (.326). Has anyone attempted any mods to improve this? Would love to hear some inputs!

(video) Today my black Spark EV almost got hit...

Car so quiet that the other driver doesn't even know you're creeping up in the other lane! :D Great reaction though, on the both of you. I'm always leery when cars are adjacently merging, i usually sped up or dial back to avoid situations like this.

Anyone else only use the portable 120V EVSE?

My daily commute is 25mi round trip, so the sparkie can actually go about 3 days (4 if I'm really pushing it) before I have to charge it, so the hassle of unwrapping/wrapping the cord and putting the L1 evse back into its trunk storage isn't really much of an issue. I was also contemplating of...

    Active aero shutter

Is there any way to determine if the active grille shutter works without placing a gopro on the bumper and facing it toward the grille?

    2015 Chevy Spark EV specifications

I think the decrease in torque is to improve reliability, and along with the smaller battery capacity, an improve in efficiency.

    Battery bars

I wouldn't even consider a used LEAF if battery degradation is your main concern.
