Aren't things like seat belts a lifetime warranty?
Have you called GM EV Support , or whatever they are called. (in the early days they were 'Volt Advisors'.)
Get them to contact your dealership. Do not write that check just yet...
Just keep saying "This is unexceptable". Don't get mad, just impress upon them that you are not letting this go and will shout it from the mountains.

3 step Trouble Tree, 1st try car died again, 2nd try not covered / cost $800. 3rd try fixed the problem.
