I went into the dealership for the update with pretty much a full charge too with GOM reading about 100 miles when I got there (104 miles before I left for the dealership) and after the update it was essentially the same (~99 miles). Perhaps they were drag racing your car!!! :D
Just had the software update, need to do a long run sometime soon to see if the capacity appears to have changed. However, the update did something weird to my reported average miles/kwh (this value has never been re-zero since the car was brand new) its jumped from 5.3 to a phantom value of 51.1!
Thanks for the spread sheet. I work as a teacher and during most of the year (except for summer) I drive the car to about 70-85% discharge every work day 72 mile round commute (my wife has a shorter 55 mile commute 50-65% discharge each day). We do Jekyll and Hyde driving (particularly me during...
It would be nice to think that was a real value and that the software de-rates it with time like a HP ink cartridge regardless of its real remaining capacity, and after the update it is actually showing what you really have left. I'll take my car in for the update soon, I have 25 kmiles on a...
Does anyone know if our cars contain a blinker/flasher relay for the turn signal lights? Many web-sites seem to list LED bulb compatible blinker/flasher relays for sale for our cars but I can't seem to find any reference to blinker/flasher relays (or their location) in the owners manual or on...
Sorry, I didn't notice that was just for the tray! Wow that's a lot of $$$$ for a tray!!! Our 2016 had a net cost of much less than 2 trays after federal rebate! On a slightly different but still related topic there are people building aftermarket very flexible controllers that will work with...
I just did a google search with these terms: 'spark ev 2015 traction battery purchase' I own a 2015 and a 2016
There are a few even cheaper ones near the top ($4,450.70).

The 2014 seems harder to find and 3x the price...
I did a very quick search (20 second search) and the first link I got put the replacement price of the 2015-2016 traction battery at about $5k. That's a price I'd consider paying to get another 100K+ EV miles...
I was doing the same thing (no heat no defog, I applied the rain-x defog stuff to the glass to help) my commute is 72 miles these days the yellow bars were flashing on one or two occasions during that cold spell.
My wife and I used to car-pool because (worked at the same place) so the 1st Spark EV cut our gas consumption massively. However, shortly thereafter I ended up working elsewhere and we commuted in opposite directions and thus one of us was force to resort to using the other car (a gas-guzzling...
I 'm doing my bit to help disperse them since I and my wife have now introduced two Spark EVs to CT. Bought the second one (a new Salsa Red 2016 LT2 with DCFC with only 55 miles on it) at the very end of 2017.
The power train is very much simpler than a typical modern gas engine/transaxle. There's a nice little youtube video illustrating it
