2016 replaced 12 v battery now have the Service Electric Parking Brake Light light lit on the dash. Will it go away after cycling a few times? Or could it need servicing, I can't see why having a bad battery could cause a problem can you?

2 weeks later, Is the code still on? Normally the car should be intermittently testing to see if problems remain, but I haven't a clue know how long it takes. If the code is stressing you out you can reset the code with an OBD II reader and a phone app like TorquePro, or you can get a spanner out and disconnect the negative terminal of the 12V battery and wait a minute to reset the computer (always good to have one in the car for computer hard resets with these EVs). If it's an intermittent error it'll come back and tell you there's still a problem.

It sounds like you're suggesting the light came on because you replaced the 12V battery. Did you replace it yourself? Did you choose the same group-sized AGM or did you get a flooded lead-acid? Was the battery fully charged when you replaced it, or not sure? Why was the battery changed in the first place? Did it go dead, was it just a scheduled replacement, or was it causing other issues?

Did the code come on the moment you replaced the battery and then started the car for the first time, or was there some time after it came on?
