If so, please let us know what kind of deal you got? Word has it that the residual value dropped from 47% to 35%, so I was wondering how, if at all, this has affected sales and lease prices. Thanks!

Got mine on Sept. 6th

36 Mo. 12k year
$2500 Down (Incudes first payment)
Residual $17,237
$149.71 mo. payment

Leased 8/9; $1600 out the door, $248 per month on 15,000 miles per year.
No idea what the residual will be because the car goes back to dealer at
the end of the 3rd year and we'll never look back.

I calculate the total cost of ownership over 36 months to be 3,200 bucks
not counting electricity. That includes savings on NOT buying gas and the
2500-dollar rebate.

The residual is defined in your lease documents at lease.

Now I DON'T feel ripped off...

I like to keep my monthly payment low and I can offset $2500 out the door with CA rebate $2500. So basically, I am happy paying $5.63/day driving this car for 3 years. (before gas saving)

Just got mine:
White 2LT
$999 down (plus first month and fees/DMV out-the-door was $1608.00)
$218.00/mo including tax (this also includes my city's special assessment for vehicles, yay!)

I had to ferry it the 120 miles home, but reached my mid way charge point (73 miles from dealer) with 26 miles range left on the GOM. 2 hours of charging and I made it home with 3 miles left on the GOM.
