I do not have a garage :( is there any issues with charging and rain/snow ?

When I charge my Diesel in the Winter, the Plug is under the fender, so it doesn't really get too wet. I still worry about it since my outside plug is GFI and it has tripped before.

But you open the door (like the gas model) and it is open and exposed.

What effect does Rain/Snow have on the plug / door / inside of the door ?

I would have thought that the engineers would have made it so that you had some kind of Rubber cup to cover the area in case it is raining / snowing ?

If you can find one, examine a a J1772 connector. Everything's deeply recessed and tucked away. I wouldn't hesitate to charge in the rain/snow. Also any EVSE includes ground fault protection.

Diesels, stinky, polluting, yech! I thank GM for souring the US on diesels some years ago!

You can bet your Lifesavers it's been tested over and over. I've had no problems with Spark last winter or Leaf for the last 3 years.

If you only have GCFI, the charge cable might not work.

Why not, isn't this what it should be, for protection?

Maybe I need to rephrase and say the plug got wet at the vehicle and therefore tripped the GCFI.

Also... I run Bio when the weather is warm enough.
