Not sure if I already mentioned this,

I have AAA. IN New England.
I called to find out if they had something to charge me if I ran out.

They said that they did NOT and may in the future but not at this time.

Not sure if others have called in other states to find out.
They are all separate in case you didn't know. I found that out when I left MA to TX.
I had AAA for 18 years and had to start from square one


Just an FYI
 
California, Oregon, Washington, and soon Tennessee and Florida have AAA emergency EV charging.

Keep in mind that the "level 3" charging they refer to is currently only CHAdeMO, AFAIK.

I was at http://sfbayleafs.org/past-events/2013/09/bigger-ever-national-plug-day-2013-summary/ and saw the truck in action, charging a Leaf via CHAdeMO. I stumbled across from pics at http://www.flickr.com/photos/36475612@N05/10016425665/in/photostream/. (At the time, there were 0 shipping J1772 CCS-equipped cars.)

The generator on board the truck is very loud when running...

Isn't that a J1772 plug in that picture next to the CHAdeMO plug ?

Yes, for AC power, just like on every Volt and most Spark EV's. Every LEAF has a J1772 port.

We had the AAA truck at the start of our summer BC2BC rally last summer:

I don't have AAA but thought I should point out that the Chevy 5 year / 100,000 mile roadside assistance includes, and I quote

Emergency Charging Service:
Delivery of enough charge for the vehicle to get to the nearest charging station or home, whichever is closest.

:?: I hope they don't consider a 15A 110V plug to be a charging station. :?:

I don't know how good their service is (and I have towing on my auto insurance too) but you may not need the AAA.
