    FS: Spark Aero Roof Rack

I turned my leased Spark EV in over 2-years ago and I put the roof rack in the garage thinking I could eventually buy new feet for it for my new Volt. That never happened, and I want the space back. Anyone interested in a roof rack in the San Diego area cheap? This is what I have...

    Maintaining battery life

Just wondering, for both cars you took the "good" reading during the summer and the "bad" readings in winter/spring. I know temperature affects battery performance, couldn't that be skewing your data? On a side note, I have a 2014 Spark EV and can drive from San Diego to Disneyland (about 100...

    No A/C

So on Friday my A/C went out and I was greeted by the heater being on in 90º weather. OnStar wasn't much help, but I noticed later that the outside temp was blank. Seemed that the temp sensor was acting up and made the heater kick on. Took it in this morning and it was a known issue and just...

    Anybody added a roof rack?

With just the rack on the roof, efficiency drops from 5.6mpkWh to 5.4 (average), with the bikes (3) on also it drops to ~4.7mpkWh. That's with a pretty good mix of driving (highway/city).

    Anybody added a roof rack?

No the Vortex RS is new, mine is the regular vortex (wasn't named that when I bought it) where the bars go beyond the vertical stands. Not much noise until 65, unless the bikes are up there. Really not that bad though. Once you get them set up, it's like 10 minutes to put on and 5 to get...

    Anybody added a roof rack?

I put a Rhino Rack on my Spark. It's limited to 100lbs, but that's more than enough for the our bikes.

    bike carrier

Can we see it in the trunk?

    bike carrier

I had the Rhino Rack from my Volt and just bought a new fit kit. Works well, very little wind noise (less than with the Volt). My efficiency drops from about 5.3Mi/KWh to 5.1 with the rack and bike on the car.

What residual are you getting on leases?

I got mine from Harbor Chevy, can't beat the service I got from Bill Ortiz in their Internet department. He beat every one else's prices, drove up to LA to swap for the color I wanted, and had me in and out of the dealership in about 45 minutes.

    pre-purchase questions

An inverter goes from DC to AC, we're going from AC to DC in the car. The charging station (EVSE) just supplies power and communicates to the car how much it can give...(handshake, hi I'm 208V and 16A). The car itself has a built-in charger to do the conversion from AC to DC. The DC option does...

    pre-purchase questions

The car has a built in Charger that will take AC from 110-240V, you just plug in any J1772 plug into the port by the driver's door. The DC charging capable models will be here in Dec, and it has been said that you can get that option on either a 1LT or 2LT model, but it's all just hearsay until...

    Ca rebate check?

If the funds are depleted, you go into a waiting list, waiting until January just moves you further down the list. Funds are added every fiscal year July 1st-June 30. But there's plenty of money, we're 3+ months into this fiscal year and 71% of the fund is still available. My guess is you're...

    Time Controlled Charging

It does have a delayed charging feature. I use immediate charge, but I did browse through it quickly and I saw two options for delayed charging. 1) Departure time - Timer for when you want it to be full by 2) Rate and Departure time - Charges based on when you want to leave and off-peak...

    Real World Range

Besides the TMS draw if it does get really cold, batteries are less efficient at cold or hot temperatures. I think the sweet-spot is 80-100°F and if it's outside of that, you'll get less range from it. It also takes a little bit longer to charge in these instances... ...but my point wasn't to...

Has anyone Leased a Spark in September?

Just got mine: White 2LT $999 down (plus first month and fees/DMV out-the-door was $1608.00) $218.00/mo including tax (this also includes my city's special assessment for vehicles, yay!) I had to ferry it the 120 miles home, but reached my mid way charge point (73 miles from dealer) with 26...

    Real World Range

Sesame, Just be aware that if it gets cold, the battery isn't as efficient (and the TMS kicks in), you may have to charge to make it home in that case.

    Chevy Availability in California
